Afghan 1

Dimensions: 65 x 81 cm

They are part of a trilogy. It is the story of an Afghan girl photographed by the national geographic magazine during the first Afghan conflict. And these Express journalists recovered during the 2nd conflict. The reporter had found her and said that she had the same look. For me, it was not evident. I did the first table with its first look to a teenager and a table with his female look and tried to imagine her gaze between these two periods.

Impression

Dimensions: 30 x 40 cm

By putting material on the canvas by burning and casting certain colors, sometimes the person's face emerges alone. The living is already on the canvas without me having to intervene to draw it. It is enough for me to make it appear. This is the case here.

Exile

Dimensions: 80 x 102 cm

In Chad, foreign multinationals in order to procure oil cheaply and with the support of corrupt Governments, have settled themselves in certain regions by promising schools, hospitals ... They have had nothing but desolation and Expropriation forced to go on the road looking for a host country. Better days but for whom?

Women in the Bush

Dimensions: 46 x 54 cm

In Africa, women often have several children before the age of 20. Most of these young women die in childbirth in their 3rd or 4th delivery. They must make long journeys in the Bush (walk more often) when the baby shows up poorly or when there is a complication that can cause almost death. I wanted to burn their history and keep their memory alive.

With hope for the world to be a better place in the 21st century. Each table is having a letter of my alphabet. To write what it would take to make the story less sad and whether hope = GENEROSITY
